full-time members work with youth in Sea Haven
programs
| AmeriCorps
is part of a network of national service
programs that connects Americans of all
ages and backgrounds with opportunities
to give back to their communities and
their nation. Members receive a small
stipend and a monetary Educational Award
at the end of the service period. |

local AmericCorps members working
for Sea Haven have been involved

on ‘street teams’
bringing services for ‘street’
youth to the areas where these
youth congregate |

Assisting
in the after-school programs of
art, reading, music, drama for
children from the Boys and Girls
Clubs |

Organizing
fund raising activities to benefit
youth programs |

Participating
in public informational presentations
about Sea Haven programs and youth
risk situations |

Helping
to recruit and train youth volunteers
for community service projects
